The pages in this section list some useful things that family historians can download and use without charge.

The process to download is easy, just

Right-click a link below (click with your right mouse button).
Then choose "Save as" or "Save Target as" from the list of options.
Then save it to your hard disk to open in the appropriate programme.

Microfiche Listing	Microsoft "Word" Doc. Adobe PDF format CSV Main Fiche list CSV New Fiche list CSV Misc Fiche list	A complete list of all the microfiche available from LFHHS, which include parish register data, census indexes, graveyard inscriptions from Lancashire churches and burial grounds. The download also includes order forms and credit card payment form to make ordering the fiche easier. The CSV (Comma separated value) files are raw list data ready to import into database or similar programmes. (Note it will open in MS Excel). They contain the information as above, but are in three files. 1 The main listing. 2 The list of the most recently available fiche. 3 The misc fiche that include things like war memorial listings.
Census Transcription Lists	1851 Census Index List - CSV File 1851 Full Census Transcription List - CSV File	There are two lists here, the first is a CSV file listing the printed 1851 Census indexes for Lancashire available from the Society, and the second is a list of the printed copies of the full transcription of 1851 Census data for Lancashire. This shows for each household, names, relationships, ages, occupations and places of birth -- as in the original.
Chapman County Codes	Microsoft "Word" Doc. Adobe PDF format	The Chapman County Codes are a standardised system of shorthand for referring to County areas, and widely accepted in family history research
Famous dates in History	Microsoft "Word" Doc. Adobe PDF format	Researching ancestry is one thing, but putting it into a historical context is another. This list provides dates from modern times (1901) to 1314, and notes important events taking place at the time - so you can see the issues that were important to your ancestor at the time they were alive.
