| Located in the Fylde, but not at the branch, Blackpool Central Library now hold GRO indexes for births marriages and deaths from 1837 to 1942. Further years up to mid 1960's are on order , but won't be in stock for several months yet.
These are available on the ground floor, booking of a reader is advisable.
Criteria for using the library are fairly simple.
All visitors to the library may, without joining the library, access all Lending, Reference and Family History printed and microform materials.
To use a computer in the library visitors must register - simply bring along proof of name and address.
Family History CDs are on the first floor - booking is advisable.
Computers upstairs can be booked for Family History purposes for 2 hours (users can stay on longer if nobody else requires).
