The Society welcomes contact from the media and is always willing to help where we can. 

We issue press releases from time to time, copies of these are below, grouped under 'Society press releases', (which are about issues affecting the whole of Lancashire, or the whole of the Society), and 'Branch press releases' (which usually feature a particular part of the County or something relavant to a particular branch).

Formed in 1973 as the Rossendale Society for Genealogy and Heraldry (Lancashire), the Lancashire Family History and Heraldry Society now has twelve centres in Lancashire, together with one in London where members meet regularly. There is also an Irish Ancestry section . The society also has a worldwide community of family historians with roots in Lancashire. Please check out the benefits of membership for yourself.
