The Shop has a wide range of publications to help your Lancashire research.
The Microfiche are a very important resource. In some cases they are the only source of information available. This is because our members have transcribed grave headstones (Monumental Inscriptions or MI's), and prepared indexes for Census and Parish Registers. Without this work these records would not exist.
We also have a series of CDs
that are growing in importance and number. Unlike the fiche, the CDs are word-searchable so you can look for specific names and places. More details.
Some of the more experienced members have also published books about some particular aspect of Lancashire family life.
We sell printed copies of a major project published by the Society and others to index the 1851 Census for Lancashire. We also publish Full Transcript books of the 1851 Census as they are completed. The main Publications page has more details of these books.
From this part of the website you can also order back copies of the Society magazine "Lancashire".
