The Society has a worldwide membership via the internet .
In the UK, meetings are held in Lancashire and London. Within Lancashire, there are 12 group meetings (known as Branches) across the County. An Irish Ancestry group and a Heraldry group also meet in Lancashire.
Follow this link to see the full Society Calendar of events in MS Excel Spreadsheet format When you join the Society, you are entitled to visit and take part in any of these meetings.
You are also free to use the facilities of any branch, such as its library stock, fiche stock, CD stock and so on. Some have fiche reader machines that you can borrow to use at home.
Each Branch organises its own programme of events and activities, details of which, together with locations and meeting timetables can be found in the Branches section of the website.
Family History folk are a friendly and community-minded lot by nature, and LFHHS is no different. Non-members are welcome at any of the branch meetings if you would like to find out a bit more before joining.
